I obsessed about roof racks for my 2012 Subaru WRX Hatchback. The choices were overwhelming and somewhat confusing. There are a few options to choose from including OEM branded and aftermarket brands. I think it is safer to go with the ones made for the car by the manufacturer. These were significantly cheaper and look like they go with the car. Some aftermarket options are just strange looking, overhanging the car. I wanted a streamlined look, which these have with aerodynamic wing-shaped cross bars.One mystery was solved when I got the racks. The bottom part is rubber to help protect your paint. This was not clean in anything that I read about these.Installation was pretty easy, but I would recommend buying a Torx T30 bit for your drill like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085DV7XMX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The handtool that comes with the bars did not provide enough torque to remove the bolts. The drill unlocked them easily.I added bike racks to mine. I am generally not a fan of the roof rack look, but I have already gotten compliments. Who would have guessed? In a perfect world, these would be black, but I can always spray them if I want to.
